has been servicing marine engines and transmissions in Japan since
1977. M.M.I. Inc, as it is known, was incorporated in 1995.
Until 1989, the focus of our business was to repair both marine
engines and transmissions in Japan. At that time we began purchasing
parts and complete transmissions from the United States directly
due to the growing strength of the economy. Purchasing parts directly
from the U.S. made it easier to continue to offer quality repair
service in a timely manner but also at a reasonable price. This
is very convenient because many of the transmissions are exported
directly from the U.S. to Japan and Australia. At this time we
focus our repair and sales to the following transmissions: Velvet
Drive, ZF, Hurth, PCM and Twindisc.

In 1998 we opened a separate incorporated company, M.M.I.
Seattle Inc, Seattle WA, U.S.A. This was established to help
expedite orders and to offer our quality of service to a broader
audience of customers primarily in Japan. Through the use of our
web site, we would like to start offering this high quality of service
and reliability not only to the Japanese customers but also U.S.
customers and all other areas worldwide.
We offer not only engine and transmission parts but also most marine
products along with used boat information available from Japan. As a transmission repair company, we currently have transmissions in
stock in both our Seattle location and our Japan location.
